Hirschi Lab 2010 Project
Funded by the National Science Foundation, the 2010 project's goal is to characterize the approximately 25,000 Arabidopsis genes by the year 2010. The Hirschi Laboratory's contribution to this project will involve characterization of 18 cation exchanger proteins (listed on this web site). This characterization will involve GFP and GUS fusions for expression in yeast and Arabidopsis. Localization and expression studies will be complemented by Arabidopsis T-DNA insertion line experiments designed to reveal phenotypic and biochemical variations. The objective of this web site is to relay all of our data to the world's scientific community and interested members of the general public. Thank you for visiting.
